The hottest show on television Burn Notice, features some of the hottest styles for men. If you’re not familiar with the show, former super spy Michael Westen (played by the fantastic Jeffrey Donovan) often finds himself in dangerous situations in sunny Miami, but he always keeps cool in some of the latest fashions. Like the Oliver Peoples Victory Aviators – Michael’s iconic sunglasses worn in almost every episode

It May Be Time for a Vision Checkup

These cheeky Dutch eyesight ads question when the right time is for people to go see an optician.

Those of you who are in denial of getting glasses, contacts or laser eye surgery are put to the test with these reality checks.

Don’t be too pessimistic about the validity of these ads, we all have witnessed this type of behavior before from our own parents!

Unfortunately, sooner or later, we’re all going to get to this stage…

We all have personal sunglass preferences. Some of us wear aviators, some Wayfarers, and some tend towards the big Jackie O glasses. But now it seems your preference for glasses can also be reflected in your preference for drink, as Deussen has created recipes for these three iconic eyeglass styles.

From the lady who loves her Jackie O glasses there’s the Strawberries & Lavender Sapphire Collins. For the Wayfarer wearer, there’s the Lucid Wormwood Flip, and for the aviator wearers, the Flor de Caña’s Papa Doble Cocktail. So kick back with a lively libation this summer while shielding your eyes from the sun in style (recipes below, courtesy of Deussen).

Flor de Caña Papa Doble

Geek-Chic Glasses

Boys should make passes at girls who wear glasses. That is the invitation of this fashion editorial, ‘Spectacular!,’ in issue #8 of Lula magazine. In it, model Sarah Stephens channels her inner geek for photographer Blossom Berkofsky.

We’ve been seeing an increasing interest in geek-chic for the guys, so why leave the girls out of the fun?

Fashionable 3D Eyewear

Did you ever think 3D movies would be so popular as to warrant designer 3D glasses? At the recent 3D Entertainment Summit, an announcement was made that designer and prescription glasses with lenses compatible with Real D 3D were in the works.

As unnecessary as designer 3D glasses may seem, more aesthetically and physically appealing 3D spectacles make sense. The typical 3D glasses are awkwardly big, sometimes painfully uncomfortable, and awfully unattractive—three strikes that would change anyone’s decision on whether or not to see a 3D movie. No one wants to look like a goggled-up lab technician on a hot date.

Toddler-sized glasses are in the making as well. Apparently, it has been one of the issues Real D has had with glasses, “sizing wise” (no, really?). No word, however, on whether toddlers get the same chic designer 3D glasses as their parents.
