Be it envy, desire, or trendy: eyewear really can be a way of thinking and there are seemingly infinite ways in which you can get so much more out of your frames and corrective lenses. Flashy, temperate, chrome, plain, colorful or extravagant – frames should correspond to your personality and mood.
If you want to be in fashion this year your glasses should be flashy and extravagant… or minimalist with clean, sleek lines – the choice is yours! Just like shoes and handbags, glasses have also became a genuine fashion accessory. They can be colorful or sober, extravagant or discreet, square or round…
The latest rage in Eyeglasses is the vintage and retro look with most designers looking for inspiration from styles that were hip and fashionable back in the 1970s and 1980s. Large mountings, large effects: vintage and retro eyeglasses are hot! Lots of the latest frames are composed of daring original forms such as butterfly wings or cat’s eyes, while other incorporate more flashy colors.
Eyeglasses typically make you look more serious and sometimes older but adding colorful frames are a great way to spice up eyewears with a fresh look that is young, new and hip yet still keeps some level of sophistication.
Nowadays one can choose from a wide variety of styles – the most important thing is that they should fit you and your personality and make you feel good and confident about yourself.

WASHINGTON D.C., March 20, 2009 — For the second consecutive year, Contacts and Specs, Inc. has been selected for the 2009 Best of Chicago Award in the Optical Goods category by the U.S. Local Business Association (USLBA).
The USLBA “Best of Local Business” Award Program recognizes outstanding local businesses throughout the country. Each year, the USLBA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success in their local community and business category. These are local companies that enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers and community.
Nationwide, only 1 in 70 (1.4%) 2008 Award recipients qualified as 2009 Award Winners. Various sources of information were gathered and analyzed to choose the winners in each category. The 2009 USLBA Award Program focused on quality, not quantity. Winners are determined based on the information gathered both internally by the USLBA and data provided by third parties.
