Revered Actress and Style Icon Scarlett Johansson, received an award from Harvard University on February 15th, naming her the “Hasty Pudding Woman of the Year”.  Instead of accepting the honor covered in fur or draped in diamonds like most celebrities would have, Johansson instead opted for a more unusual accessory; thick black framed, wayfarer-style “nerd” glasses, ala influential 1950s rock n’ roll singer, Buddy Holly.  This isn’t the first time we’ve seen a daring entertainer sporting this look; stars like Ashley Olsen and Dita Von Teese have recently made appearances wearing similar chunky black frames.
