Eyeglasses don’t exactly lend themselves to online shopping but don’t blame Contacts & Specs for trying. The Chicago eyewear shop, the latest to be suggested into the guide, carries one of the best selections of hip eye and sun glasses we’ve ever seen, with high-end labels from Europe and Japan. Considering that even in some major cities like LA this type of selection is hard to find, the shop is a fantastic resource whether you’re in Chicago or shopping online.

For online shoppers the store even offers a personalized service wherein you tell them what you’re looking for and send them a picture and they’ll Photoshop some glasses onto your face to give you an idea of what they’ll look like. Now that’s good online service!

One of the major events of this year’s Cannes film Festival is the World Premiere projection of the movie Ocean’s 13, in which we find an array of stars such as George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon ….and Ellen Barkin as the female lead part.
Through the part played by Ellen Barkin (Abigail Sponder in the movie), Face à Face frames become stars as well: they are present and seen at the Cannes Festival and then in the entire world.
Throughout the movie, Ellen Barkin’s character (Abigail Sponder) wears the red and pink acetate optical frame – model Zooms 1 in colour 196
